Backroads Ohio

Something the Porchtrait Project has allowed me to do is cruise the old semi-forgotten backroads of Ohio. Cruising down State Route 83 on my way to Medina this week, I came upon lots of family farms, old rundown barns and vast open fields. Living in a suburb of Cleveland, amongst the housing developments, you tend to forget how much farmland and wide open space there is just within a hour drive still of home.

We cannot forget about those individuals who are out sun up to sun down turning fields, tending to livestock, and producing the food we find in our local farmers markets and grocery stores. This may turn into a personal project of documenting the backroads history of Ohio, and the family farms which dot the landscape.

Please enjoy a few photos from my drive down State Route 82. Make sure to subscribe to get notified when I post new photos and blog posts!
