It’s been awhile…

Sorry I have not posted anything since the beginning of August! It was a busy month for RDBloomfield Photography. Let me catch you up on what all you have missed.

We kicked off the month with a photoshoot with the Quinn Family. This was a fun photoshoot with the young kids Mimi and Jack. Mimi was a cutie and a little ball of energy and Jack just chilled out wondering who to look at. Since Dad was from Pittsburgh, we had to get that obligatory shot with the terrible towel. To wrap up the shoot the kids ended up getting popsicles to cool off. We were glad to capture Jack’s first taste of a popsicle ever for them. Big Sister Mimi even helped hold it for Jack too.

After the fun photoshoot with the Quinn family, we had the opportunity to do our first newborn session with our new little cousin, Riley Mae. Typically before a newborn session you have mom feed the baby so they become sleepy. Despite her having a good feed prior to our little session, she was extremely alert and surprisingly engaged with the camera. She was quite the little ham posing in all the different positions we put her in. At the end of the session we went to a local sunflower field and captured some great photos at sunset!

The day after our newborn session was a big day for me as I proposed to my long time girlfriend, Bridget. We had a couple of her friends in from out of town and they helped me pull off a surprise engagement of my own. Bridget was completely clueless and a good sport with the hijinks it took to pull off the perfect engagement at where we had our first date. And for once I was the one in front of the camera instead of being the one pushing the shutter button!

A week later, Bridget and I had the opportunity to participate in one of her friends surprise engagements. It was a rebirth celebration for one of her friends from college boyfriend who was celebrating 5 years of cancer remission. More to come in a later blog post about this surprise!

Make sure to stay tuned as blog posts will resume on a more regular basis as we have more going on into the fall!
